Cherry Hills Community Church was established by a Bible study group that met in Cherry Hills Village, just south of Denver, Colorado. After Jim Dixon was chosen to serve as senior pastor, the first Sunday service on March 7, 1982 was attended by 350 people in an existing church building at 90 East Orchard Road.
Our growing congregation relocated in 1985 to a school building and constructed a sanctuary at 3651 South Colorado Boulevard. A second relocation in 1995 brought us further south to serve rapidly developing suburban communities. This time, a plot of land was selected and an entirely new facility was constructed.
Cherry Hills Community Church now occupies a dynamic campus on 66 acres of land in the heart of Highlands Ranch, with facilities totaling 255,000 square feet.
Our main building includes a 3,500-seat auditorium, commons, café, prayer room, bookstore, gymnasium and numerous classrooms. Outdoor spaces include a patio, memorial garden, athletic fields and playgrounds. As a separate and special landmark, The Chapel hosts weddings, memorials and other significant events.
