More About ...
Taught by Dr. Blake LaMunyon
Wednesdays, September 17 - October 8
6:30 - 7:50 p.m. in the Commons
Especially if you're not able to join a small group this fall, we invite you to attend Midpoint to reinforce the themes from our Sunday series, Say Hello. Each week we'll explore a little More About ... the significance of heaven, health, harmony and wholeness that God desires us to experience in our lives.
September 17: Exchanging Worry for Peace
Join us as we explore insight from Philippians 4:6-7 about overcoming the anxieties of our frazzled lives.
September 24: More About Heaven
Life's greatest adventure is ahead -- and it will last forever. Revelation 22:5 says, "I am making everything new!" If you can imagine a world where all of the inhabitants are truly humble, selfless, meek, righteous, merciful, compassionate, pure in heart, and at peace with God and each other, then you have a glimpse of what heaven will be like.
October 1: Quenching Spiritual Thirst
Spiritual health comes from staying regularly connected to Christ—drinking the abundant life he offers. It's not something we can manufacture, but like ocean waves, God keeps sending us one opportunity after another. John 7:37-39 encourages us to drink deeply.
October 8: Overcoming Resentment
In order to live in relational harmony we must learn to overcome the resentment that often comes in relationships because of feelings of hurt or bitterness or misguided anger. The Holy Spirit's ultimate goal is for us to have minds characterized by an ever-increasing flow of Spirit-guided, truth-based, life-producing thoughts and feelings.
This 4-week session will be led by Blake LaMunyon, who recently joined our pastoral staff, bringing his energy and experience to reaching our local community with the life-changing message of Christ. In his new role, you’ll see Blake involved in Midpoint, as well as other events and training that reflect his gift and passion for evangelism.

How to Read and
Understand the Bible
Taught by Dr. Sid Buzzell
Wednesdays, October 15 and 22
6:30 - 7:50 p.m. in the Commons
Besides its legendary status as the best-selling and most-read book of all time, the Bible may also be the most inspiring—and the most perplexing. Translations differ. Interpretations vary. Church traditions confuse the discussion. And many parts of the story were left unwritten.
So how can everyday people meaningfully explore the Bible to gain the wisdom, comfort and truth that for centuries have made this book worthy of meditation and study? Join us for a practical two-session overview of essential methods and resources to help you more fully understand the Bible as you read it for yourself and share your discoveries with others.
This Midpoint series will be taught by Sid Buzzell, Ph.D., Dean of Theology and Director for the Center of Leadership Studies at Colorado Christian University.
Small Groups: Please register to reserve a table if you would like to attend together as a group.
